Meet Our Imam: Sheikh Yasin Al-Faruqi
The Guiding Light of Our Community
A Scholar and Mentor
Born in 1983 in Diyarbakır, the journey in education began with the completion of primary school in 1993, followed by the memorization of the Quran in 1996. Graduation from Imam Hatip High School took place in 2000, leading to further studies at Ankara University’s Faculty of Theology, where a degree was earned in 2009.
A master’s degree in Islamic theology was completed in 2011. Between 2012 and 2017, experience as an imam was gained in Denmark, fostering a deep engagement with the community. From 2017 to 2020, responsibilities expanded into a branch management role, overseeing administrative and organizational functions.
The years 2020 to 2022 were dedicated to working as an inspector, ensuring compliance and quality standards. Since 2022, service as an imam has continued in the United States, with a strong commitment to religious leadership and community guidance. Fluency in English, Arabic, Danish, and Kurdish allows for effective communication across diverse communities.
